qāla bal faʿalahu kabīruhum hādhā fasalūhum in kānū yanṭiqūn
He said, "Nay, (some doer) did it. Their chief (is) this. So ask them if they (can) speak."
He answered: “Nay, it was this one, the biggest of them, that did it: but ask them [yourselves] - provided they can speak!”
He said: But this, their chief hath done it. So question them, if they can speak
He said: "Nay, this was done by - this is their biggest one! ask them, if they can speak intelligently!"
He replied ˹sarcastically˺, “No, this one—the biggest of them—did it! So ask them, if they can talk!”
He said, "Rather, this one, the largest of them, did it, so ask them, if they are able to speak."
He answered, Rather this biggest one of them did it. Ask them, if they can speak
He said: Surely (some doer) has done it; the chief of them is this, therefore ask them, if they can speak
He said: Nay! It was accomplished by the greatest of them—this. So ask them if they had been able to speak for themselves.
He said: "Rather this biggest one of them did it. Ask them, if they are able to speak up."
(Abraham) said: “Nay, this one, the biggest of them did it. Ask them, if they can speak!”
He said, “Nay, but it was the largest of them that did this. So question them, if they speak!
(Ibrahim) said: “Nay, this Most High and Most Great of them has done it. Ask them (who are here with broken hands, broken legs and broken faces) if they used to talk (in the past as you claim)"
He replied, "Surely someone has done it; the chief of them, that is! Ask them, if they can speak!"
He said, 'But it was this biggest of them that did it. Ask them, if they can speak.'
He said, "No indeed, it was this great one of them that performed it; so, ask them in case they (can) pronounce (a word)."
He replied, "I think the biggest among them has broken the smaller ones. Ask them if they are able to speak"
He said, .Rather, this is done by this chief of theirs. So, ask them if they can speak
Abraham grabbed the opportunity of driving home the point, "Whoever did it, did it. This is their chief. Ask them if they speak."
Said, "Rather, this one, their chief did that! Therefore, ask them if they can talk!"
He said: "No, this was done by— This is the biggest one of them! Ask them, if they can speak sensibly!"
He said, "Rather, this - the largest of them - did it, so ask them, if they should [be able to] speak."
He said: "It was the biggest one of them here who did it, so ask them, if they do speak!"
He said, ‘No, it was done by the biggest of them- this one. Ask them, if they can talk.’
He said: rather he hath wrought it: this big one of them: so question them, if they ever speak
"No," he said. "It was done by that chief of theirs. Ask him in case they can speak."
He said, ´No, this one, the biggest of them, did it. Ask them if they are able to speak!´
He answered: "Rather, (some doer) must have done it – this is the biggest of them. Ask them, if they are able to speak!"
He said, ‘Rather it was this biggest of them who did it! Ask them, if they can speak.’
Said he, "Nay, it was this largest of the idols. But ask them, if they can speak."
He said: no, but this biggest of them did this, so ask them if they are speaking
He said, “No, this was done by that, the biggest one. Ask them, if they can speak.
He replied, “It was the big one who did this; ask them if they can speak.”
He answered: "Rather it was this supreme one who has done it. So ask them, if they can speak."
He said: "It was the biggest one of them here who did it, so ask them, if they do speak!"
Abraham said, "Nay, it is this one — the chief of them — that has done it. So ask them, if they can speak coherently!"
He said, 'rather this big one of them would have done this, so ask them, if they can speak'.
He said, "It is that big one who did it. Go ask them, if they can speak."
'No, ' he replied. 'It was their great one amongst them that did it. Ask them, if they are able to speak.
He said: Surely (someone) has done it. The chief of them is this; so ask them, if they can speak
He said: "But/rather their oldest/biggest , that, made/did it, so ask/question them, if they were speaking."
He replied: “It was the chief of your gods who did it; you may ask them yourselves and see whether or not they are even capable of speaking.”
Said he, "Rather, their chief may have done it; so question them, if they can speak."
He replied, `Well, someone has surely done this. Here is the chief of them. So ask them if they can speak.
He said: ‘Nay, this biggest (idol) of them would have done this. So ask these (very idols) if they can speak.
(Abraham) said, `Well, of course, someone has done it. Here is their chief (idol which witnessed all this). So better ask (him and) them, if they can speak.
(Ibrahim (Abraham)) said: "Nay, this one, the biggest of them (idols) did it. Ask them, if they can speak!"
He said, 'No; it was this great one of them that did it. Question them; if they are able to speak!
He answered, nay, that biggest of them hath done it: But ask them, if they can speak
Said he, 'Nay, it was this largest of them; but ask them, if they can speak.
He said, "Nay, that their chief hath done it: but ask ye them, if they can speak."
No,‘ he said. ‘It was their chief who smote them. Ask them, if they can speak.‘
He said, “No, this was done by the biggest one. Ask them, if they can speak.”
He said: "Rather this biggest one of them did it. Ask them, if they are able to speak up."
He answered: 'Nay, it was this one, the biggest of them, who did it. But ask them, if they can speak!'
(Abraham) said, “No! Rather, it was the biggest one of them who did it. Ask them, if they can actually speak!”
(Abraham) said: �Nay, it was done by this, the chief of them! Ask them if they can speak�
"But it was their chief who did it", Said Ibrahim; ask them if they are able to talk!"
They said, "Did you do this to our gods, O Ibrahim?"
He said: "Nay, this was done by - this is their biggest one! ask them, if they can speak intelligently!"
He said, "Nay, (some doer) did it. Their chief (is) this. So ask them if they (can) speak.
